How To Get A Good Night Sleep!

Hi, everyone! How has your week been? Mine has been good. I have some exciting things coming up and hopefully one day I can share them all with you! This week, I thought I would give you guys a post about how to get a good nights sleep. I feel like I should be taking my own advice with this because I am really bad when it comes to getting off my phone and going to sleep at a reasonable time. So I thought I would give you guys some tips that you and I can both use and hopefully, we can sleep better. Let's get started!

Health Related:
- Stretch for 5 minutes. Make sure to pay close attention to your leg muscles, as stretching can reduce your chances of getting those annoying, horrible cramps overnight.
- Never shave before bed as your hairs will return into their follicles overnight.
- Read! Reading increases your brain's acuity and alertness. It also makes you sleepy, without applying the light pressure of a phone or electronic device to your eyes.

Weight Loss Related:
- Stay away from eating a large meal 1-2 hours before bed. What you can do instead is eat a small snack.
- Drink a glass of water before bed.
- Eat a kiwi before bed. Kiwi contains vitamin c, which can help you fall asleep faster. It is also healthy!

Beauty Related:
- Remove ALL makeup. Failure to do so will cause bacteria to spread to your sheets and can cause acne.
- Apply lip balm or chapstick to your lips, especially during the winter/cold season.
- Moisturise your skin by applying lotion to your arms, legs and hands.

Extra Important Tips!:
- Leave your phone across the room. This will prevent insomnia and will help you fall asleep faster as it is not a distraction plus going on your phone keeps you awake because of the light- even with night mode on.
- Aim to achieve that "pink" noise. Noises such as a soft fan, a dripping sink/faucet and a ticking clock will help ease you into your sleep.
- Get rid of those feathered pillows. Not only are they noisy, but pillows made of feathers instead of wool tend to be less comfortable.
- Taking a warm shower will help relax muscles and can help with getting a good night sleep.

That is all it from me today. Thank you so much for reading and tell me what are your tricks to getting a good night sleep? Make sure to comment them down below or tell me on all social media platforms @itsjustthatgir1. I hope you have an amazing week and thank you so much for following and being a part of this journey. It means the world to me. *All the hugs and squeezes!*

xoxo It's Just That Girl
