Best Cool Things I've Done For Myself!

Hi, everyone! How are you doing? I hope you have had a very productive and amazingly great week! Currently, I am drowning in assignments but you know, I'll live. I thought today it would be nice if I'd give you guys some cool things I have done in the past year. These are things I can look back on and smile about so I'd thought, to let you guys see this as well! Let's get started!

SnapChat Story:
On New Year's eve 2015, I had made myself a new private snapchat account. I added my personal account to it. Throughout 2016, I've been sending myself videos, photos etc of highlights and the best things that were happening around me. On New Year's eve 2016, I opened my snapchat and smiled and nearly cried. I had such an amazing year and I was so happy to document it.

Everyday Challenge:
So throughout every night during 2016, I had taken a photo of myself so that eventually I had 365 photos of my year. I was able to see how much I had changed physically and also mentally, how I had perceived myself and where I had been. It was so fun and I am currently now doing this for 2017.

Recording Weight:
So ever since the near end of summer 2015, I had been recording my weight for every day. I mainly did this to track my weight loss and so far, I have been pretty happy with my progress and hope to continue this!

My American Experience!:
Best week of my entire life and I suggest all aspiring or professional performers (singing, acting, dancing) read my post about it here!

My Once A Week Diary:
I have been starting this since the beginning of 2017 but so far, it's been quite therapeutic and I've been loving it. In September 2016, I had been labelling this note on my phone as moments to remember but now, I've been using it to document things to remember and to write in as a diary once a week. It's also cool to look back on which is something I love to do!

Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope that you enjoyed this post! What has been the best thing you have done for yourself? My American Experience!

Hello, everyone! How are you doing? I hope you guys are doing really well! Today's post is going to be about my American experience! To remain as anonymous as I can, I will not be saying what the program is called but I will drop hints. My American experience was the best thing I had ever done in my ENTIRE life! I am being 10000000% genuine on this! I miss this more than anything and will do anything to go back and do it all over again! I have grown so much as a person during and after that trip that I would love to share the tale! Let's get started!

So back in July I saw this thing Premiere, advertise on apps, youtube, twitter and google. This program is an amazing performing arts program that gives you opportunities to be showcased in front of industry professionals and talent agents. I was and still sort of am a shy person. I don't know what went in me but I signed myself up for it. The auditions were at the end of August. I got through the auditions (which I did write a whole blog post about which you can see here). I was then signed up to attend the program.

I signed up for  level 3. That means 6 showcases which were perfect for me. I roughly performed around 30-36 agents which is amazing considering 50 agents attended. Within the time period between August and December, I had training via face time with my incredible mentor. I could not have done it with out my mentor. She was so caring and kind and she helped a newbie like me.

Time flew and the calendar said it was already December. So, my mum and I flew to Orlando, Florida to attend the program. I did not expect what I was letting myself in for. Can I say that there were professional actors already attending the program? I was so proud of myself because I must have been pretty good if I can get to be on the same level as proper professionals. There were also celebrities there. There was Peyton List (many know her as Emma from Jessie and Bunk'd), Spencer List (Peyton's twin brother and actor), Madison Hu (who plays Frankie from Bizaardvaark) and Hayden Byerly (the program's Alumni, Jude from the Fosters and the guy who attended my audition) The first night included going to register so it was a pretty chilled day. I was given a folder filled with everything I would need during the week.

The second day I had a celebrity-intensive with the Lists. What a celebrity-intensive is is that you hear the celebrities talk about their experience and then there's a meet and greet. Sadly, only levels 3-5 (the max level is 5) can attend the celebrity intensive. This day I also met up with my group and made amazing friends which I still talk to today. This day everyone practised their comedic monologues in front of the group and our group leaders. Later was the opening ceremony of the program. There the CEO of the Program talked about what the program is gonna be like and how we've all done so well for even getting to the program.

The third day consisted of an industry Q&A panel. I learned so much from that panel and one thing that I learned was that it doesn't matter where you are based in the world because everything is based on the US Dollar. American commercials, films and TV shows are filmed in Australia so you can be Australian and be on an American production. That was reassuring for me as I live far from America. This is also why 50 agents from around the world came and from different specialities (e.g modelling, singing (which are added extras if you pay) extras etc.). After the Q&A session came your practice sessions with your group and your group mentors. I had such an amazing time and one memory I have is that no parents were allowed and the rooms were absolutely FREEZING! These sessions were so fun as you were given loads of advice and made so many new friends. During the evening was a dance party. That was the best party I had ever been too! I met up with all my new best friends and watched a dance battle performed by the celebrities.

Fourth day was the beginning day of showcases. Firstly, everyone had to walk a massive catwalk in front of the 50 agents and in front of the 1000+ people in the room. That was so scary yet so fun! I even hugged one of my friends there because we were so scared and excited/nervous! The day then consisted of more performances. This day also had the celebrity meet and greet and that was fun as you talked to the celebrities and took photos with them!

Fifth day was another day of performances. It was a great day and I felt so proud of myself because I felt I did great! Later that night was the award ceremony. That ceremony was probably a highlight of my week. I didn't receive any awards but there was a lip sync battle between the celebrities and it was the best thing I had ever watched in my entire life! It was so fun!

Six day was sadly the last day of the program but probably one of the most important days. This was the name drop/ handing in resume day with getting your callbacks day. I dropped my headshot and resume to all 50 agents and managed to have a short conversation with them and I was able to make some of them laugh! Haha! Now, my best friend there was I believe better than me during the experience but she didn't receive any callbacks. I felt so bad but I was able to receive 2 callbacks! Which was amazing for me! I was basically glowing of happiness. I then met the agents interested in me and one of them told me they were only picking 5 talents/performers that were not from where he was from so that was a huge achievement for me and he also said he would've been totally shocked if I wouldn't receive any callbacks because I did so well and so to be safe, he gave me a callback to tell me how amazing I had done and he would like to do work with me! I was so happy. I then left the room and that marked the end of the best week of my entire life!

Overall, the program I had attended was the best thing in my entire life and I cried when I got home because I miss it so dearly and more than anything!

New Year, New Me!

Happy New Year everyone! How has your week been? Mine has been ok so far- could've been a bit better but I'm sure there are better things to come! After looking back on the past year and the past events in my life (aka my America Experience- a post will be out about this next week!) and I thought, this year, I want to be different. This is my new year goals. Today, I'll be talking about what life is like and how I want to portray myself. Enjoy!

                                                                               ...

So I think I'm beginning to have a crush on one of my guy friends.... He's just really good looking, has abs and an amazing face. I like his hair but it can be improved- I'm a hair snob haha! I really want to become close with him, I've already started to but I want to get close with all my guy friends. I just honestly want to get closer with all my friends. My friends make me happy and I want to be happy!

I want to be more confident. I find that having insecurities are holding me back. Being confident just seems so fun. I find with being confident, comes people believing in you. When being confident, you have people wanting to be with you because you're sending off good vibes. Being confident in school can get me to so many places. Doing better with my work and my general vibe that I send off. I just want to be more confident so I can be happier.

Now believe it or not, I'm stuck in a hair rut. I really wanna cut it, but I don't. I feel stupid for writing this but I'm really interested in a lob hairstyle, but I really love long long hair (like I currently have). I just want to be happy with my appearance, thats all.

Well acting has suddenly become a big part of my life. I just want to entertain, make people laugh. Acting has made me come out of my shell. Ever since I have come back from my America experience, I have just feel like I have been glowing with a positive energy. I have loved it. Acting has made me so happy. I want to constantly take my acting one step further and hopefully get professionally into acting. It brings me such joy that I would love to share to others.

I genuinely want to continue what makes me happy and being constantly happy is the new me. Yes there will be moments that will knock me down but I want to be happy. Being happy will make me feel complete.

Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope that you enjoyed this post! What are somethings that you want to achieve this year? Make sure to comment them down below or tell me on all social media platforms @itsjustthatgir1. I hope you have an amazing week and thank you so much for following and being apart of this journey. It means the world to me. *All the hugs and squeezes!*
