How To Deal With School Anxiety

What's up guys? How is everyone doing today? Today I thought I would give you guys 5 tips for surviving school anxiety because school has unfortunately started for most of us and I'm definitely having anxiety. I'm scared I won't do as well as last term and I don't know how I did it last term as well as one of my best friends are moving after this year and I will cry so much because I love my friend so so much! Anyways, let's get on with the post!

1. Homework/ Projects
So this ALWAYS causes me the most stress. Something I have learned though is to learn how to NOT procrastinate. As much of a pain as it sounds, do your homework as soon as you get it and start your project (or at least begin to research) as soon as you get it. Make sure to also always learn how to manage your time! Keep yourself on a steady, stress free pace.

2. Teachers
Teachers, Teachers, Teachers, *Tut, Tut, Tut*. I don't know about you guys but around some teachers, my social anxiety is at an all time peak. I always feel like I'm being judged by them and I just hate teachers and I'm so upset because the one I actually felt comfortable around has left. I always have slight confrontation with meeting new teachers, especially if they give me the slightest and impression because my guard is always up around new people and it takes me almost the whole year to get comfortable around teachers. I think thats where my anxiety comes in to be honest. At the end of the day, as much as you think they might be out to get you, they're not. It's basically their job to look out for you. Yes, teachers have their favourites, it's obvious but they aren't out to ruin your life. If you have serious trouble with a teacher, speak to your parents as well as speaking to your principal because they are the people who are gonna make the change.

3. Friends
Now, I love my friends, my true friends and I honestly can't live with out them. Something that I want to touch on is friend drama. About a year ago, you may or may not remember that I had big drama circling around me. I never like to say I was bullied because it was never like that, I say it was more of a confrontation of trying to find out who my true friends are because I'm happier than I ever have been with my current friends. If you do somehow get into friend drama, here's what you should do.
1. Never let it get to you, it's 100000000% NOT worth it.
2. Always ask for advice from parents
3. Talk it out ( if you're brave enough, I'm definitely not but it always helps to find the problem)
4. It's never a bad thing to let friends  go, sometimes, it's not meant to be.
5. If it's with your best friend, definitely ask your parents for help and do something about it!

4. Waking up early
Weirdly enough, this gets me anxious because I'm always scared I'm gonna be late and I'm gonna wake up late and it actually stops me from getting sleep because the thought is constantly on rewind on my head. I recommend speaking to your parents about this if you're like me. What I did is that I talked to my parents and my mum has been giving me pills that relaxes my muscles from tensing from stress and that aids sleep. That has definitely been working for me. I always take them about 1.30 mins before I go to sleep so that it has time to kick in.

5. Overall/ Dealing with change.
Every school year comes change. New schedule, new class mates, new teachers, new expectations etc. Overall, remember, just breathe. Take a second to just bring yourself together, take your mind out  of what you're doing. Remember not to lose yourself and if you're ever in somewhat of discomfort or trouble, talk to someone because it will get better. Remember to also allow yourself some time to get used to the changes ( something that I really need to learn how to do because I'm definitely not good at this) and remember, alway try your best and stay true to yourself.
