5 Things I Try To Remember When Anxious

Hey guys! How is it going? Today's post is going to be about 5 things I try to remember when I get anxious. If you did not know, I suffer with anxiety since a very young age so today I'm hopefully going to help some of you out by tell you 5 things I try to remember when I get anxious.

1. Don't Over Think
I over think way too much more than an average person would normally do. (If that made any sense) When I other think situations, I get anxious and a bit scared and I always make my self worse and sometimes I just have to remind my self that I just need to take a deep breath and remember that it's all in my head. That is much easier said than done but honestly, over thinking is one of the main reasons why I get anxious. I just want to help you guys and say that don't over think the situation that you are in and just take one thing at a time. Take it like baby steps because I promise you, you will feel much better!

2. Everything Is Going To Be Ok
I need to take my advice on this more often than I normally do. But if I'm in a situation that I'm getting anxious in, I always need to tell myself that everything is going to be ok. I know, this is also much easier said than done but honestly, if you get anxious, I recommend just reminding yourself that everything is going to be ok and pretty soon, you're going to be where you are comfortable and less anxious. If anyone is reading this with anxiety, please do this because I promise it will help make things better.

3. What Can You Do To Make Yourself Feel Less Anxious
I always try to think a way out of me being anxious and I promise you, it helps. If I am in a public place and it is crowded and I'm getting hot and clammy and just extremely anxious, here are some of the things that I will do;
1. Drink water slowly because it slows your heart rate down
2. Tie my hair up and just get it out my face and off my body and just so that  it  is down and making me more hot
3. Grab my phone and just listen to calming music and hope that is slows my heart rate down and makes me less anxious
Those are some examples of what I would do to make my self less anxious and hopefully if you think about how you can make yourself less anxious, I want you to know that it helps the situation.

4. It Will Be Over Soon
Anxiety generally lasts for 20 mins the most and I actually like knowing that because I like to know that it wont last long (even though it feels like forever) and if you keep that piece of info on the back of your mind, it will help for sure.

5. Try To Think Why I Am Getting Anxious
This seems WAY easier said then done but honestly you have to try to think about this. It's the last thing you want to think about, but it will help in the situation you are in, because once you figure out what is making you anxious, you can change it and you will hopefully you become less anxious like I do. Here is a situation that I was in;
I was really sick one day and I had to take the train to get to a meeting and I was so sick that I couldn't think and so I got really anxious. What was my solution? My solution was to just follow the crowd because will eventually lead to the exits. My solution worked and I made it to my meeting on time. I think this is one of the most important thing to think about and hopefully it works for you!
