10 Ways To Make Your School Life Easier

Hello everyone! Today's post is going to be 10 ways to make your school life easier. This is scary for me to write because I start school in 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS!!!! I mean, where has the summer gone? Why has it gone so fast? But we all need to face the reality with school and I am so scared for it to start because its just trigging anxiety in me and that makes it even worse and scary and I am just not ready and I'm its like that for the most students in the world so I'm making a post to help make your school life easier! Lets get rolling with the post!- I can't believe I just said that!

1. Folders
You need a folder to organise your papers, homework, books etc. And without one, its just a mess. I don't know about you guys but my teacher screams at me if I don't have folders for each of my classes so I followed that advise and it helps so much! I recommend getting a folder for each class. Also a way to make your life easier, put a pencil in that folder just as a backup if anything happens to your stationary, you know you have an emergency pencil in each folder! I also recommend getting different coloured folders so that you know each colour belongs to a class. If you do this, this will;
1. Help keep your locker clean
2. You important papers will never get lost and you have everything you need to study

Remember to put everything from that class into that folder e.g. books etc.

2. Homework schedule
I don't know about you guys but in school, we get a piece of paper telling us what nights we are expected to get homework on, that helps me so much because if a teacher starts giving me homework on the wrong night, I can actually not accept the homework and show my teacher the list and be like 'sorry, you can't give us homework tonight'. But if your school is not like that, I recommend making a chart or put a tiny whiteboard in your locker and when you get out of classes (if you can) go to your locker and write what homework you have and what it is. This will then remind you what homework you have and when you pack your bag, you know what you need to pack. Make sure to also make a schedule of when things are due and how important they are and how much time they take on another chart close to the chart that reminds you of what homework you have.

I hate doing homework at home because I find that I have way too many distractions and I find that I can't focus so I actually do homework in my breaks if I have the time to. You may find me weird but I like to get things over and done with plus its the perfect opportunity to work with your friends if you need help and it's much less to do when you get home. This will help you especially if you do something after school.

3. Books
I don't know about you guys but when all my notebooks are in my bag, they all look the same. I bring my folders home if I got homework from that class but the books still all look the same. So what I do is decorate the tops of the notebooks so that I know which books are what as well as them being in different coloured folders.

4. People Stealing Your Stationary
Everyone steals my stationary because I am literally the only one in my class who can keep track and never lose my stationary. How do I do this you might ask? Well, it's simple. Take some colourful tape ( if your don't have any, just get a marker and colour some tape to do this) and just wrap it around your stationary. That way you know whats yours and if people steal anything, you can prove to them that all of your stationary is also with that tape. If people still take your stuff and peel the tape off, you can always paint or use a sharpie to colour the places where the tape should go. Remember to make the tape/ sharpie/ paint the same colour for everything so that if anyone takes anything, you can prove its all yours!

5. How To Work Quickly
Now everyone loves getting things done fast so that you are finished and you get free time. A trick to work quickly is to put some epic music on that is loud, a bit like war music and music like that. This is because you are working to the sound of the music and if you put fast, loud music on, you will work quicker! It just gets in you in the zone. Almost like James Bond action music. Literally the best way I can describe it! Just remember to check your answers so that you don't make careless mistakes because you are working so fast! That will help you so much and you won't realise it!

6. Essays
I don't know about you guys but whenever I have to go back to school, I always just get these random essays to write and it always has to be what we are passionate about. I have learned a tip and that is to write about something that you hate. It can be anything, but if you get given a topic to write about, try to make what you are going to write about close to the topic you need to write about as possible. Why am I saying write something that you hate about? This is because, yes, you can write something you love but lets be honest, you might become a bit bias towards that topic, but if you write about something you hate, you can rant on for hours and give plenty of reasons why you hate it and maybe some good ones too but make sure you keep to your essay question. Your teacher may think of you as  a bit negative but its worth the grade!

7. Remembering Facts
If you need to remember facts, say it out loud so that your brain hears it for it self and also write it down a few times so that both your mind and hands know the fact. Also, chew something that contains peppermint. Peppermint helps your brain and prepares it to store information.

8. Stuck In A Test?
I'm sure everyone has those moments when they just completely blank out in a test. If you don't, then I hate you because I am so jealous! So when you get stuck at that question, have a drink of water. This calms yourself down so that you don't get stressed out by the question and makes it worse for yourself and it makes your mind more reasonable and before you know it, you remember the right answer or the method to get to the right answer.

9. Don't Use Flashcards For Everything
If you use flashcards all the time and you don't remember the information that you need to, that is a sign that flashcards don't work for you. Instead try other methods. Flashcards (although a great way of learning) is quite a shallow way of studying because you are only reading it and to remember it as much as possible, you need to be able to write it down. If you do want to use flashcards, use bright and colourful ones. That way it helps stimulate your brain.

10. Hygiene
School isn't probably one of the most hygienic places in the whole world. Most of the time your breath doesn't smell nice, your hands feel icky, you feel like you smell a bit and generally, you want to feel clean. I recommend setting a section aside in your locker to keep sanitary things e.g. small deodorant, small perfume bottle, hair ties/ bobby pins, whispies (( I mentioned these in my travel essentials post). They are small toothbrushes that have mint essence on them so if you ever feel like you want to brush your teeth, they are there and ready to use!),  hand sanitiser and I don't know about you guys but we have hooks in our lockers at school to hang our blazers up if we want to so what I do is hang up an air freshener that smells like mint so that my whole locker smells nice and clean! Also, keep a pocket in your bag for any mints or gum. I'm saying to keep it in your bag because in most schools, you can't chew gum and teachers won't go in your bag so your bag is the perfect place to hide them. Also to hide sweets and things!

Thank you guys so much reading!
