Hey everyone! How are you doing? I hope you are having an amazing day and if you are not, don't worry, everything will be ok. Today's blog post is gonna be about summer which I'm so happy its here because I was so over school and I was just counting down the days and it's a time where you can chill out, get your tan on, chill by the pool and just relax and have fun, so today I will be talking about taking vacations and just generally things to do when you are bored!
It's that time of year where people are travelling around the world doing what ever they are doing and just doing what ever they want to do. I don't know about you guys but where I live, people get out the country as soon as possible and the latest they will be out the country will be a week after school ends. It's a bit crazy isn't it? Since I live in a very international place, people travel back to their home countries and visit family. My family is that one family that goes on vacation for only two weeks out of seven weeks and we only go away for the 3 weeks before school ends and the third week we come back and we use that extra week to prepare for school. Unlike other families who literally leave the second school ends and comes back literally the night before school starts again.
I love going on vacations, I treat it as a time to socialise with my family and just clear my mind and just relax. I love travelling around the place but I am the worst at adventures. I hate bugs and I am probably the laziest person ever and can procrastinate a bit. I don't procrastinate too much because then I get super anxious. As you have probably guessed it, I'm one of those types of people who like to stay at a 4-5 star hotel and stay by the pool the whole day. Those are my fave moments when I can just chill by the pool and just relax. But you always have to be prepared when going on vacation. You have to pack the right things and make sure you have your accommodation ready and that you are prepared for everything and that your luggage has really important things that you will need to travel and just generally the things you will like to take on a flight/ride/ boat ride. I am not the best at these things cause as I mentioned I do suffer with some form of anxiety so I always pack my carry on at least a few days before I leave. My suitcase is something that I always leave the night before but I will always get my clothes out at least a week before I travel so I know what to get and what to get ready to pack. I always do it the night before because the day of when I'm travelling, I'm super anxious and I just hate to think about packing and I just everything to be ready. I will make another blog post about my carry on essentials and just general tips for travelling plus travel photos if you guys will like to see them! Tip!: ask your friend or just someone around for their opinion on what to pack and what not to. It might seem a bit of a useless tip but trust me, it's a really helpful tip! I have a question, is it me or anyone else that I love to pack on the way to somewhere and I hate packing for coming back home? I will write more about vacations and travelling in another blog post.
Ok, now here is something that happens to all of us, everyone gets bored. I mean, who doesn't. I for one can get extremely bored in the summer because I have nothing to do and my family doesn't have a lot of money to spend at the moment so we can't pay for any activities at the moment but I always try to do something active and that is something I want to talk about, staying active. I am really lazy but my goal for a summer was to stay active everyday and to try to at least do one thing. I found it a bit hard because all my friends left the country and I was stuck in my home country alone literally doing nothing but I somehow managed to do something almost every day. Even just by getting dressed gets you more active dramatically and that was hard for me because I just love to be in my pyjamas. Some things that you can do are;
- Start doing something fun but athletic for example, dancing.
- Do a run everyday day. This way to can stay fit and healthy during the break.
- Take your pets out (if you have any) to a park, If you have a dog, a dog park.
-Redecorate your room and give your self a time to clean out all the trash from your room.
-Give your self a tiny makeover, look at fashion, experiment with clothes, paint your nails. Honestly, this is actually quite fun to do and It's a chance to create a new look!
-Do something nice for someone like doing a random act of kindness
- Explore the place that you live in and visit the famous places in your city/country.
- Find a job or internship, this will make you responsible and it's something to do.
- Go shopping! If you have a job, this will be the time where you reward your self.
- Make new friends and hang out with them. This way you can stay social and have fun!
-Go to the movies with your friends and family and just enjoy your popcorn!
-Listen to music, sing or just mess around with music and become a mini DJ!
- Have a pool day, give your self a day to just go swimming and have fun in the water.
-Start a blog. I am new to blogging but it is actually really fun once you get into it!
-Start a youtube channel. This is a fun thing to do especially if you love filming for fun!
Those are just somethings that you can do when you are bored especially when its a summer holiday and of course you can add more or less to this list!
